Romans 1:16-17 (NKJV) 16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.
17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "The just shall live by faith."
A thought to consider: The just shall live by faith is quoted several times in the New Testament and is a quote from the Old Testament. This is a prophetic word that God spoke to teach His people what He was about to do. He was going to take the ungodly and make them godly or righteous which is what the Word "just" meant. The word describes what God is like and He was going to make us "just" like Him. He was then going to reverse the effects of the sin and cause us to live in life as opposed to death. Jesus said I came that you might have life and have it abundantly. And then He was going to cause us to live by faith. Something that Adam refused to do.
